OCC Clubs (known through the industry as adult day health services) are radically changing the way care is provided. Bringing back dignity, joy, and utlizing the arts as a way of self expression. It is not uncommon to have regular interaction with children, babies, dogs, plants, and even a certified therapy pig. No more bingo, tv watching, scrubs, and silly sing-a-longs.
We believe that a diagnosis does not define your life and that there is treatment beyond a pill.
We believe aging shouldn't stop someone from having purpose, meaning, and a place to belong.
OCC Clubs are licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services as Adult Day Health Programs.
"I'll never forget the first time we came to tour Oakwood, once we got to the car Alex said, I really like that place, when do I get to go back".
Each of our OCC CLUBS have a nurse to assist with medication management, personal care needs, and nutritional monitoring. All staff are trained to assist with personal care, showers, and one person transfers. Exercise is offered daily in many forms and tailored to meet the needs of each person’s individual strengths. Based upon the physical needs of a member, the member may engage in:
