At Oakwood Creative Care, you’ll find a supportive community that transcends conventional approaches by focusing on enhancing the quality of life and igniting joy for our members and their families – embodying the ethos of “treatment beyond a pill.”
Our day clubs are located throughout Arizona’s East Valley, where men and women facing physical and cognitive challenges (such as dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, or post-stroke conditions) find friendships, fulfillment, and JOY in a dignified atmosphere where individuals are respected and valued, fostering independence and autonomy. Our members anticipate the newness of each day amongst friends, as they explore new talents and hobbies through engaging activities designed to stimulate the mind and body.
Oakwood Creative Care’s Hub location is a vibrant Family Support Clinic & Community Center dedicated to serving the families and caregivers of older adults with dementia or other cognitive impairments. Memory Cafés, support groups, community events, classes, and dementia coaching sessions are just a few of an array of services designed to uplift care partners and provide them with the tools, resources, and community support they need to navigate the challenges of memory loss with compassion and confidence.
Even after receiving a challenging diagnosis, the body, mind, heart, and soul continue to seek a familiar sense of inclusion, productivity, and community.
