Oakwood Creative Care is proud to recognize and celebrate the incredible volunteer efforts of CG Schmidt for helping bring the organization’s newest wellness initiative to life at their Chandler Campus.
Volunteers from Wisconsin Help Build New OakFit Gym
A team of dedicated volunteers, including two executives from CG Schmidt’s Arizona division and several team members who traveled all the way from the company’s headquarters in Wisconsin, recently donated their time and talents to transport, assemble, and install fitness equipment for Oakwood’s new OakFit Gym. In fact, they may be the longest-traveled volunteers in Oakwood Creative Care’s history!

OakFit Gym: Coming in the Fall of 2026!
The OakFit Gym is the latest installment in Oakwood Creative Care’s innovative Chandler Adult Day Club and Hub, made possible by the incredible generosity of Arizona Complete Health and the Centene Foundation. Open in the fall of 2025, this campus is the first-ever location in Arizona to offer an Adult Day Club, support Hub, and Wellness Clinic all under one roof.
Designed to promote fitness, strength, and resilient aging, the OakFit Gym will feature accessible exercise equipment, a relaxation station, and other wellness-focused amenities funded by Arizona Sports & Tourism Authority and tailored specifically with older adults in mind.
The gym is a vital part of Oakwood Creative Care’s broader vision for its Wellness Clinic, a community-centered resource designed to help individuals take charge of their brain health and aging journey. Through a whole-person approach to wellness, the clinic focuses on nurturing both physical health and emotional well-being. With expertise in dementia, Parkinson’s disease, stroke recovery, and healthy aging, Oakwood’s compassionate team helps older adults live fully while also supporting care partners in reducing stress and potential for burnout.
As Arizona continues to experience rapid growth in its aging population, partnerships like this one demonstrate the power of community collaboration in creating innovative solutions that help older adults thrive.
