It’s time for a HUGE announcement! Oakwood Creative Care kicked off the new year with a ground-breaking accomplishment! As of January, our Mesa Dementia Hub Clinic officially became licensed through the Arizona Department Of Health as Arizona’s first-ever dementia care clinic!
After years of observing common obstacles that people face when providing care for a loved one with memory impairment, Oakwood Creative Care founded The Dementia Hub Clinic to create a central source for dementia support in Arizona. Here, you’ll find Memory Cafes, support groups, engagement activities, resources, connections, and educational opportunities. Today, The Dementia Hub helps families pave a path that begins with a loved one’s diagnosis and continues along their entire journey with Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia…preserving a meaningful life with their loved ones and celebrating each moment of joy along the way.
The Dementia Care Clinic Is Licensed… Now What?
Now that the Dementia Care Clinic is licensed through the state, OCC is now able to bill the Hub’s services through Medicare and Medicaid.
Because of this, we can now creatively offer an untraditional service of support, education, resource navigation, and coaching through a payor source. In return, OCC can continue efforts in reducing the burden on families and giving them every opportunity to have the support they need to be successful in caring for their loved ones!
Next up, OCC is seeking opportunities to expand these programs through various additional payor options. Our goal is that, by the Fall of 2025, OCC will have an array of customizable options for family support that are flexible, convenient, and billable with our team of clinical experts!
